New Publication CVCA Issued the Chinese Version of the International VC/PE Valuation Guidelines In order to establish and promote the best practices for the valuation of Venture Capital and Private Equity (VC/PE) industry in China, and to promote the sound and sustainable development of the VC/PE industry, CVCA has translated The International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines which could be referred to by the market participants. We hope that The Guidelines can provide valuable guidance and assistance for you on the valuation of investments and investment portfolios. CVCA calls on all VC/PE institutions to learn from the international VC/PE valuation guidance and best practices, and to explore the best practices of valuation in the Chinese context to promote sound and orderly development of the industry. The 2011 version of the "Laws and Regulations of VC/PE funds in China" is Online! The China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association ("CVCA") issued the Codification for the first time in 2010, for the purpose of helping industry participants understand the current policies, laws and regulations of VC/PE in China. The relevant updates to the 2011 version focus on the new laws and regulations released subsequent to the 2010 version (which was issued on May 2010). CVCA News CVCA Added Three New Governors to Enhance its Board Leadership August 23, 2011, Beijing, China —— The Board Members of China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association ("CVCA") unanimously nominated and passed a resolution to add three new board members to enhance its board leadership. The three new CVCA board members are Mr. Fred Zuliu Hu, Chairman and founder of Primavera Capital Group; Mr. Weijian Shan, Chairman and CEO of PAG; and Ms. Stephanie Hui, Partner and Managing Director in the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman Sachs.
